series follows the lives of Aria Montgomery (Lucy Hale), Spencer
Hastings (Troian Bellisario), Hanna Marin (Ashley Benson) and Emily
(Shay Mitchell Fields), four girls whose clique falls apart after the
disappearance of their queen bee, Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse). A year later, they begin receiving messages from a mysterious character with the name "A" who knows their secrets. At
first I think it's Alison herself, but after she is found dead, the
girls realize that someone else knows their secrets - including
long-hidden who thought that Alison knew. After an initial order of 10 episodes, June 28, 2010, ABC Family has ordered 12 new episodes of the first season. These
episodes began airing on January 3 and ends March 21 2011.Four friends
band together against an anonymous foe who threatens to reveal their
darkest secrets, whilst unraveling the mystery of the murder of his best
friend. The
series follows the lives of four girls - Aria Montgomery, Emily Fields,
Hanna Marin, and Spencer Hastings - whose clique falls apart after the
disappearance of their leader, Alison DiLaurentis, until her body is
found, it is when
they join it again at her funeral where the first occupant of the
beginning of the text messages that are from an anonymous source, "A"
