America's Most Wanted is not only the longest TV series in the history of the FOX network but the eighth longest running show ever main network and accredited to take reality television to mainstream. The idea of the proof of another cop reality shows in the 60s and 80s. In the summer of 1987, Fox executive Stephen Chao and Executive Producer Michael Linder had the idea of America 's Most Wanted. It was created February 7, 1988 and within four days of the first broadcast convicted murderer David James Roberts was captured. The series was canceled for a month and a half in the fall of 1996, but returned after protests from civil servants, police and low ratings for the shows replacing AMW. Among his many accomplishments, AMERICA'S MOST WANTED has helped capture more than 1,100 criminals, including 17 on the FBI Ten Most Wanted list. The series has also recovered 61 missing children and people with their families, which is the proudest Walsh. In March 2010, President Obama appeared on AMW to congratulate the series in its early 1000th episode.
Argument:
In this series, John Walsh, the father of a murdered child hosts this show that illustrates crime stories that led to the capture of hundreds of fugitives from the law. Luridness accurately the extent possible, various crimes are dramatically recreated with an appeal to any viewer with information about the crime and the authors call the show and the authorities and help the cause of justice. The real crimes are dramatized in hopes that viewers can give information leading to the capture of criminals.
