Pusher 2012

Pusher 2012

Pusher is the new version of the third part of a 1996 film written and directed by Nicolas Winding Refn. From the share of Copenhagen, storyteller Mathew Lee movies Refn in the streets, sometimes rough, sometimes glamorous London.

Frank (Richard Coyle) is a small drug dealer address a few selected customers in London. Sidekick Tony (Bronson Webb) introduces Frank Marlon (Neil Maskell) for a very good thing, Marlon said Frank know when they were in prison together, despite Frank smell a rat in the case, largely inspired to begin operation. When the deal goes wrong, Frank is in the pockets of thousands of pounds, and no product to sell, completely destroyed. Being broke and no product is not the only problem, the Russian gangster / supplier who want their money lent, and in case of failure, Frank will pay for the loss of his life.

Pusher is a bit like a torrent of drugs, their story is high speed and then slow meander. There is no rhyme or reason for the change in the history of speed, but seems to work. That said, there is a small portion of the film meanders a bit too long.

Located in the streets of London, and of course a tight budget director Luis Prieto does a good job of making you think that you see a lot of London more than they actually do. Much of the action takes place in places pace of theater such as apartments, clubs, shops, etc. This adds to the films advantage, offering what is a fairly large city feels very insular, so they understand that this is not Frank is a place where you can walk away from.

While Pusher is a nice watch, do not feel like there's something missing, there is just a little too empty, something perhaps in history, something one of the characters may Flo (Agyness Deyn ) seems very underdeveloped, leaving a deep enough finding a specific scene.

Pusher is a beautiful film, and has a good pace, but not a movie you want to do too much, because when thoughts come then faults are exposed.
