Grandfather of Modern Family star Ariel Winter claims he never witnessed abuse at the hands of 14-year-old's mother  

Grandfather of 14, Ariel Winter is standing on behalf of his mother that he did not abuse the Modern Family actress.
Chrisoula Workman was accused of abusing physically and emotionally winter and calling her overweight.
His father James Batiste filed a declaration in favor of Workman Saturday as part of the case for permanent guardianship.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, Batista said Workman, who is known as Chrystal, a mother is "very good for all children.
He added: "I've never seen any abuse of my daughter or son-in-law to my granddaughters physically or emotionally.
The winter was longer live with her sister Shanelle Gray since early October, when a judge granted temporary custody of the young star after a judge Workman stripped of his custody.
Batista also noted in his letter that Gray went to live with him 20 years ago, when he was 16, after she accused him of abuse Workman.
But TMZ reports that Gray was in the foster care system for two years before Batista has custody of her and she moved into his home in Virginia.

Winter was seen leaving home on Saturday Gray with his sister and niece.
The decision was taken after Gray's lawyers made in court documents that the winter has been the object of constant physical and psychological abuse, slaps and insults his mother standing.
"The allegations of the petition [Shanelle] are false," Workman wrote in a court declaration obtained by TMZ.
"I've never been down or Ariel says she is overweight.
Workman, who has filed an objection to a wardship proceedings and offered to participate in the common approach, says he has always said that his daughter is "smart, beautiful and talented.

I never slapped or hit Ariel, "Workman continues." I love Ariel and we will do what is best for her.
She calls the family's recent confusion following the rebellion of a teenager. '
The documents echo earlier reports Workman relationship with his daughter after she was spoiled actress found in bed with a man 18 years of age.
Workman said winter caught in bed "behavior" feeling was not appropriate for his age and his mother, she just wants to protect her.

While the matriarch did not identify the identity of 18, boyfriend of winter, filed a report with the Sheriff's Department Los Angeles County could investigate statutory rape.

Workman is separated from Gray, and also insisted that the father of the winter Glenn is perfectly capable of parenting.
She told Radar Online: "There is absolutely no reason to say that the father of Ariel and her husband, Glenn, is not capable of taking care of our daughter.

"There is no problem that prevents it from being the father of Ariel.
"As to why there are claims otherwise, well, all I can say is that Ariel is a rebellious 14 year old teenager.
"I love my daughter and want her back.'m Very concerned about their safety and well-being."
