Genl Series Info: Merlin is a fantasy of British television programs and adventure, Julian Jones, Jake Michie, Julian Murphy and Johnny Capps. It began broadcasting on BBC September 20, 2008. The show is based on the Arthurian legends of the young wizard Merlin and his relationship with Prince Arthur, but differs from traditional versions of several ways. It is produced by independent production company Shine Limited. After a successful series, NBC aired that began June 21, 2009, but after a decline in viewers, moved to the cable network Syfy, where it began broadcasting the series on 2 April 2, 2010. When Merlin meets Arthur, he believes that he is an arrogant tyrant and Arthur, likewise, has a less than stellar opinion of Merlin. Argument:
Young Merlin is a teenager, discovering and then learning to master his magical gift. Magister Gaius, the physician of King Uther Pendragon Court heard that he was assigned as humble page, teaches him medicine, coaches his magical self-study, and warns him of Uther's strong aversion to magic. Merlin becomes squire of noble but imprudent crown prince, Arthur, whose fate is linked with Merlin.
